MARGARET'S CLOSET
You may have noticed a sign on the side of our trailer that reads “Margaret’s Closet”. The Hearts for the Homeless trailer was made possible in part because of the hearts and generosity of Richard and Margaret Smith. The Smith family have been lifelong residents of Hendricks County. Richard and Margaret were always involved with their church and in the community. They were instrumental in starting a soup kitchen in Angola, Indiana, that helped provide food to residents in need. They were also known for volunteering with a hospice program at their local hospital and at the local state park. Their generosity was witnessed by many family members, and their assistance was always given anonymously. The Smith family is grateful for the opportunity to assist H4H’s mission of serving the homeless and providing for their needs.
