John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

We had the distinct privilege of witnessing a young man’s acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior today. It was glorious and humbling beyond belief. We’re excited to see how the Lord will use him for His glory.

Accompanied with the meal were bags of Texas Roadhouse peanuts and some white chocolate covered oreo suckers - provided by a long-time supporter who attended an event and grabbed up the remaining goodies for our friends :-)

By and large our portion of downtown had an unsettled, anxious feeling; way more than usual. Lots of changes going on and more coming soon. One entire lane has until Monday to vacate the premises or risk losing everything as construction sweeps in. As of 4:00 o’clock Saturday, the majority didn’t know where to go or how to get there, not to mention the weather challenges. When with this constant upheaval and uncertainty, it’s easy to fall back on destructive old habits and coping mechanisms. Today was no exception. It’s heartbreaking to see folks who are usually open and talkative begin to withdrawal and eventually pull back altogether because they lose hope. As hard as we try to share the love and hope of Jesus, satan is trying to steal their hearts and souls. If you pray for our friends, thank you thank you thank you. Prayer changes things and is often more sought after on our visits than the meal we bring.

On our way to the last stop we came across an elderly man huddled in a corner outside a gas station with nothing but the clothes he was wearing. He lost his job in Fort Wayne last year due to covid and just came back to Indy hoping to find old friends and family; so far has found no one. The meal, blanket, socks and hoodie put a beautiful smile on his face. We prayed...but driving away from that gas station was so hard!!!

We barely had enough food left for our last stop but were happy to be heading home without leftovers. Then, we decided to go back to one of the earlier camps and a car followed us into the parking lot. A man came to the trailer wanting some food. We were completely out! There was alot of commotion at that moment and I let him go through the snacks and take what he wanted, tried to talk but was not giving him my full attention then God said loud and clear PRAY! So we talked for a few minutes and we prayed. That's exactly what he needed and all he really wanted!! We will be seeing him again next week ♡

We didn't want to go back to that camp, we were tired, we were wet and ready to go home. But God knew that man would drive by and see us. So thankful we listened ♡

We made up for lack of pictures last week 🙃 As always, we thank you more than we can express for your continued support and prayers.

Proverbs 16:9

A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.
